Our next stop was Autlan  

 


Autlan is in the center of this mountain range.  
You can see the blue agave fields all along the drive from Guadalajara to Autlan.
Blue Agave is used for making tequila.

We stayed at the Valencia Hotel on the main square.

Hotel Valencia is under the arches across the square.

Carlos Santana was born in Autlan.  There is a plaza on the edge of town with a statue of Santana.  Click here for more Santana information.

We saw the first part of the carnaval 
which consisted of street music and a rodeo/ bullfight.

 
Manzanillo
is a busy port and beach resort.
