The door was open most of the day and evening to allow the breeze
to flow through the house. A small bird took advantage of
the open door a few years ago to build a nest in the
chandelier.
Mona left the
nest.
She says the birds comes
back each year. They add a bit to the nest ( they sometimes
use fiber from her wicker baskets to patch the nests.) She
has had several generations of babies.
There were no birds when
we were there.
