HOUMA

Houma, the working class metro just Southwest of New Orleans hosts nine Mardi Gras parades. (3rd most in Louisiana)  There a lot of wide open spaces but not many visitor attractions, but there is always the food. Our man on the main street recommendation was awesome.

Big "Al" has the best crawfish that I have ever tasted and everybody in town seems to drop by at least once during Mardi Gras season. Big Al (left & right below) is part of the Hercules Krewe, Houma's first and "best" Mardi Gras parade on the Friday before Carnival Friday.

I am sitting at the counter talking with Al.
