Death and Folly

This illustrates the battle between death and folly. 
This is acted out each year during Mardi Gras in Biloxi.

The round gold objects are dried pig bladders.  

They still use dried pig bladders.   
We were told only pig bladders make the loud and distinctive 
sound used in the battle between death and folly.  
I am told they can smell pretty bad.

Have they ever heard of drums?

We saw the Thursday night parade.
