Orpheus & Proteus were the Lundi Gras (Monday night) Parades

Orpheus 

During a break in the Orpheus parade the crowd started doing the electric slide.

The mayor of New Orleans, Mayor Moriel, presents a proclamation to Whoopi.

In the old days, all the lighting for the parades was provided by the Flambe carriers.

Proteus paraded for the first time since 1992.

They are one of  only krewes to parade in three centuries.  19th, 20th & 21st.

This older gentleman needed to be helped off the float.
